Prudential RideLondon Classic : Lorena Wiebes victorious in a chaotic final

This classic London offers very often massive arrival, not to say always. But unlike other classics aimed at the fastest of the peloton, the end of this event is extremely difficult to negotiate, and is often the scene of spectacular falls. Men are no exception to the rule, but in women, it is less than 500 meters from the finish line that several competitors found themselves on land, after being washed away by a wave of the peloton. The very wide road on the finish line always makes controlling the peloton very difficult, and so it was in this very disorganized final that Kirsten Wild crossed the line in the lead, before being downgraded for a change of trajectory that would be the cause of the massive fall. Lorena Wiebes, initially 2nd, so comes looking for a new success, and once again confirms its place in the gratin of world sprinters.
