Several months after the terrible fall that shook the cycling community on the occasion of the Tour of Poland, and could have cost Fabio Jakobsen his life, the organization of the event decided to react. Indeed, the final of the Katowice stage, known for its great danger due to the slope which dramatically increases the speed of runners, will no longer be part of the course from this year. A decision awaited by many runners, who had already reported this arrival in previous years. So, the next edition of the Tour of Poland to be held from 9 at 15 August will not offer this arrival downhill, in order to avoid reproducing such an accident. The UCI has also taken the decision to ban this type of finish on the events it supervises, as well as the presence of bends in 200 last meters.
