Quinn Simmons, it's this American from 19 years that we keep talking about since his world title in juniors two years ago, and even before for connoisseurs. Good puncher, comfortable with difficult classics, he has the typical profile of the classicman capable of shining on all terrains. And if its season 2020 was logically quite discreet, youngest rookie the World Tour peloton has ever seen is ready to do battle. His resumption on the Drôme Ardèche Buckles went very well., with already very good performances, a 16th place in the Royal Bernard Drome Classic won by David Gaudu and a 10th place in the Faun Ardèche Classic after numerous attempts in the final. Two very impressive races which prove his excellent condition, and who could well herald a particularly interesting season. Just 19 years, the resident of the Trek Segafredo plays in the big leagues, and could be talked about this Saturday on the paths of Strade Bianche, a test cut out for him. If the competition promises to be extremely fierce, it will nevertheless have to be followed closely, as much as within his team, the presence of Bauke Mollema and Gianluca Brambilla could leave him some openings to try to surprise some favorites. The race for victory may still be out of reach, but a good final ranking seems quite possible for him, with why not a new top 10 in the World Tour for the one who had notably finished 6th in the Bretagne Classic a few months earlier…
