The latest addition to the Italian brand is called SLR Boost Tekno Superflow. Behind this extended name actually hides a collaboration with the automotive brand Dallara, specialized in supercars, and Fabian Cancellara, that we no longer present. And especially, this is a saddle with a record weight of 95g which arrives in the manufacturer's range, by making from the outset one of the benchmark products in this high-end bicycle saddle market.
To compare, the Berk Lupina that I tested last year weighed 79g, 84g for the long version of the model. We are therefore very close with this new Selle Italia to records in terms of weight., a point that is gaining more and more importance with the approach of a probable revision of the UCI regulations concerning the minimum weight of frames used by professional riders.
This latest model in the SLR range, the reference range from our Italian friends, has therefore positioned itself in a very interesting way vis-à-vis the competition and will undoubtedly generate a lot of ink. A model that should go beyond 400 euros coin, an almost obvious price for such a concentrate of technology and know-how.
