In 2020, it seems almost inconceivable. And yet, until yesterday, no woman has ever taken on the role of sports director in a World Tour squad. But at Israel Start Up Nation, we like to innovate, and so we decided to trust the former DS of the Vitus Continental team : “It is a pride and a privilege for me to be the first woman to take on this role at the World Tour level, to join one of the best teams in the world and to work with such talented riders” she said in a statement released by the team. “I really want to do things the best that I can, because by doing that, I know others will be inspired to take the same path and this is something that really matters to me”. She will therefore work in a few weeks alongside Chris Froome, And Martin, Sep Vanmarcke, Michael Woods or Daryl Impey within the Israeli structure.
