BIOGRAPHY
His name may not mean anything to you., but he surely challenged you by his physique during the Arctic race of norway. Gleb Syritsa measures 1m89 for 85Kg. He comes from Russia and runs for the Astana team. Gleb Syritsa is known for his track record. He is notably World Junior Team Pursuit Champion in 2017 in Montichiari.
WHO IS HE ?
He began his career on the road in 2017 in the Lokosphinx junior team. Since August 1 2022 he is a trainee in the team of Alexandre Vinokourov. At the start of the season Gleb won two road races : The circuit of Guadiana and the Trophée Guerrita Memorial Juan Romero and Diego Sánchez. Ensuite, from 11 at 14 August he ran his first real race with the Astana team : l’Arctic race of Norway, where he was able to gain experience because he is only aged 22 years.
He notably finished 2nd in the first stage won by Axel Zingle at Mo i Rana. And then from 13 at 17 September he took part in the Tour of Slovakia. He had a better race than his first in Norway. By being more consistent and finishing 5th in the sprinters classification. And just recently he won the first stage of the Tour of Langkawi in a sprint, one of the last races of the season 2023.
Currently intern, Gleb Syritsa is very impressive physically. It conveys a certain ease when viewed on the bike. The track allowed him to develop his strength and resistance. Still very young, we can't wait to see him evolve against the best sprinters in the world in the coming years.
